KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Primary Roles
- Support the Sarawak Gas Roadmap development and coordinate strategies that align gas resource utilization with Sarawak’s Gas-to-Power projects development.
- Assess and review terms of Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and Gas Supply Agreements (GSA) to ensure they meet commercial, technical, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with technical and legal teams to negotiate agreements favourable to Sarawak Energy.
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of Sarawak's energy market, focusing on energy markets, gas supply, and power demand dynamics.
Analyze policy, regulatory, and industry developments impacting the energy markets.
Secondary Roles
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies in alternative renewable energy, gas-to-power, and related innovations to promote renewable energy growth in Sarawak.
- Keep abreast of market trends, policy developments, and industry standards affecting renewable energy and gas-to-power project development.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, industry leaders, and research organizations to stay informed of opportunities and foster partnerships.
- Provide technical training or mentorship to junior engineers and support staff to build internal capabilities.
QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in any Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of working experience within the energy/engineering sector.
Preference will be given to internal candidates.
