Senior Data Engineer

You’ll be part of the Data Foundation team where you, together with your colleagues, will work on developing the Group’s data backbone, and where you’ll inspire and advise stakeholders on how to enable data. You’ll play an important role in:

• New development, i.e., additional features to the application as per business needs.
• Ensuring the operations and maintenance of the application, i.e., applications keep running in production without impacting business.
• Being the Technical Application Responsible (TAR) of the applications.
• Working with team members on improving our DevOps journey.
• Ensuring applications owned by the team are secure, reliable, maintainable, scalable, and perform to meet business needs.
• Developing and maintaining test automation frameworks, writing and executing test scripts.

To succeed in the role, you:

• Have a proven track record and advanced experience with development in Python, .NET, Angular, SQL/NoSQL, Azure DevOps. Strong Python software development skills are essential.
• Have knowledge of cloud products (Azure Cloud Services and/or AWS), containerization, serverless computing, and architectural patterns.
• Are proficient in system integration using modern technologies, e.g., REST API, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD with a high degree of automation (using GitHub Actions), Kafka, SQL, or any NoSQL databases and other service-based systems.
• Are proficient in writing unit and integration tests across all components; an advocate for automated testing. Experience with test automation tools will be a plus.
• Have basic to intermediate knowledge and experience with data engineering.
• Possess strong communication skills, experienced in stakeholder management and experienced working in agile setups.
