Job Responsibilities:

Our payment company is seeking a Channel & Merchant Success Specialist to bolster our team, focusing on supporting our channel partnerships and ensuring merchant success. This role will play a crucial part in driving growth, retention, and satisfaction within our partner and merchant network. We are looking for an individual who is eager and passionate about the payment industry, and ready to contribute to our company's success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Channel Expansion & Optimization
    • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential channel partners that align with the company's strategic objectives and market trends.
    • Develop a deep understanding of the channel partner’s businesses and the company’s new products/features, target markets, and their unique value propositions.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, including negotiation of commercial & contract terms, fostering ongoing collaboration.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create channel programs and initiatives to drive channel (payment method) engagement and sales growth.
    • Monitor and analyze channel performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
    • Assist with creating materials, presentations, and other guidelines to support sales efforts of channels, products/features.
  2. Merchant Success Management
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance merchant satisfaction and retention.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key merchants, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
    • Analyze merchant performance metrics/trends and identify areas for improvement, offering strategic insights and recommendations for optimizing payment processes and driving revenue growth.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address merchant concerns and optimize their experience.
  3. Business Partnership & Management
    • Nurture and maintain relationships with key partnerships, conduct regular business reviews with partners to assess performance, address issues, and identify new growth opportunities.
    • Foster ongoing collaboration with partners, including negotiation of contract terms, and ensuring partner satisfaction.
    • Educate partners on product and channel trends to enhance their effectiveness in selling our offerings.
  4. Market and Competitive Analysis
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape related to payment solutions and merchant services.
    • Conduct regular market and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities, threats, and areas for differentiation.
    • Utilize market insights to develop strategic recommendations and initiatives to strengthen our position in the market and drive business growth.

Pre-Requisites:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/ Advanced/ Higher/ Graduated Diploma in Computer Science/ Information Technology/Business Administration/Marketing or equivalent.
  • At least 1-2 years of work experience in the related Fintech field is required.
  • Strong understanding of payment processing technologies, merchant services, and industry best practices.
  • Candidates should have a background in Business Analysis or Business Intelligence, with strong analytical skills and experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in project management, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analytical mindset, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
