About the role:

Join our dynamic Buying & Merchandising team and play a pivotal role in curating consumer-focused product assortments that drive sales and profitability. Reporting to the Director of Buying & Merchandising, you will lead the selection and execution of balanced, trend-driven product ranges aligned with strategic buying plans. Your expertise in product analysis, budget management, and marketplace execution will be key to maximizing sell-through and enhancing our brand’s competitive edge.

  • Strategic Buying & Planning: Develop data-driven buying plans and budgets based on historical trends, market insights, and future forecasts.
  • Consumer-Centric Assortment Building: Curate and refine product selections to ensure SKU efficiency and alignment with brand/category strategies.
  • Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Track sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and implement action plans.
  • Inventory & Order Management: Oversee order placement and ensure timely delivery while optimizing stock levels to drive profitability.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Category Manager and cross-functional teams to influence product and category strategies.
  • Market Trend & Consumer Insights: Stay ahead of industry trends, consumer behavior shifts, and competitive movements to refine category positioning.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and support the buying team in executing category plans and maintaining seamless product supply.

In order to succeed in the role, you should ideally have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a business-related field.
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3 years in product buying within sports, footwear, fashion, or active lifestyle categories.
  • A strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for numbers and trends.
  • Proven ability to lead category management and drive sales through data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
