Key Responsibilities:

Data Management and Strategy

• Building Smart Data Strategies: You’ll help design and implement strategies that ensure our data is stored, retrieved, and analyzed efficiently. You’ll focus on aligning our data systems with the bigger picture of our business goals, all while maintaining security, privacy, and compliance with regulations.
• Managing SAP Datasphere: You’ll take an active role in ensuring that our SAP Datasphere environments are optimized for performance and aligned with our business needs. From setting them up to supporting their day-to-day use, you’ll help create a seamless data experience across the company.
• Championing Data Governance: You’ll collaborate with various teams to help create and enforce data governance policies that keep our data clean, consistent, and secure. You’ll ensure that we have the right data policies in place to maintain quality and integrity across the organization.

Technical Support

• Leading SAP Datasphere Projects: You’ll be hands-on in all aspects of SAP Datasphere projects—from gathering requirements and designing solutions to deploying and supporting them. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring these projects meet both technical and business needs.
• Mentoring and Growing the Team: As a senior member of the team, you’ll guide junior colleagues, providing mentorship and encouraging a culture of continuous learning. You’ll share your expertise, help others grow, and make sure the team is always evolving alongside SAP Datasphere advancements.
• Staying Ahead of the Curve: SAP Datasphere is constantly evolving, and you’ll stay up to date with the latest features and best practices. Your role will be to evaluate these innovations and bring in new ideas that drive our data strategy forward.

Collaboration and Communication

• Cross-Team Collaboration: You’ll work closely with a variety of teams—IT, business units, and external partners—to understand their data needs and provide solutions that work for them. You’ll bridge the gap between technical and business requirements, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
• Simplifying Complex Concepts: You’ll be the person who can explain technical concepts in a way that everyone can understand. Whether you’re speaking with IT specialists or business stakeholders, you’ll ensure that data initiatives are clearly communicated and that everyone understands their role in making those initiatives a success.
• Reporting and Presentations: You’ll help create and present reports, presentations, and documentation to make data insights and progress on projects easily accessible for decision-making. You’ll ensure stakeholders understand the impact of data strategies and their importance to the business.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization

• Monitoring System Health: You’ll keep an eye on SAP Datasphere’s performance, identifying potential issues and addressing them proactively. You’ll make sure our systems are always running smoothly and efficiently, with minimal downtime.
• Optimizing for Growth: You’ll help fine-tune our systems to ensure they can handle increasing amounts of data, all while improving performance, scalability, and reliability. You’ll always be looking for ways to make the data infrastructure better, faster, and more reliable.
• Ensuring Compliance and Quality: You’ll ensure that we stay on track with data governance policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. You’ll conduct regular assessments to ensure that data quality is maintained, and processes are continually improved.

Your Background:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree would be a plus. You should have at least 3-5 years of experience working with SAP Datasphere or similar data management platforms.
• Technical Know-How: You’re familiar with SAP Datasphere’s architecture, components, and functionalities, and have experience working with enterprise-level data systems. You understand how data flows and are comfortable with system configurations, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Data Governance & Security: You’re passionate about data quality and security. You understand the importance of data governance and can apply principles like data privacy, security, and compliance to everyday work.
• Problem-Solving Skills: You love tackling challenges and have a sharp eye for detail. When issues arise, you approach them analytically, breaking down complex problems and finding creative, effective solutions.
• Clear Communication: You’re a great communicator who can explain complex technical concepts in simple terms. You’ll confidently present your ideas and solutions to diverse audiences, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.
• Experience and Certifications: Having certifications in SAP Datasphere or related technologies would be a bonus. If you’re familiar with SAP CPI, that’s a plus too.

Additional Skills:

• SQL & Data Warehousing Knowledge: Familiarity with SQL and data warehousing concepts is highly beneficial. You should be comfortable writing and optimizing SQL queries, as well as understanding the principles behind data storage, retrieval, and management. Experience with traditional data warehousing or cloud-based data storage solutions like SAP BW/4HANA would also be an asset.
• Cloud-Based Data Management: Experience with cloud-based data management platforms, particularly SAP Data Intelligence, SAP HANA Cloud, or other cloud-native solutions, is a plus. You should be able to navigate cloud-based ecosystems and understand how data can be managed and leveraged in the cloud environment.
• Integration & ETL/ELT Processes: Knowledge of integration techniques, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes is a strong asset. Experience in setting up data pipelines, performing data transformations, and integrating disparate data sources into a unified data platform will make you highly effective in this role.
• SAP Data Warehousing Experience: Background in SAP data warehousing solutions, such as SAP BW/4HANA, will be highly regarded. Experience with data modeling, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), as well as managing large-scale data warehouses, will be an advantage in driving successful SAP Datasphere projects.

Other SAP Products Knowledge:

• Familiarity with other SAP tools and products, such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or SAP BW, will be considered an asset. A broad understanding of the SAP ecosystem will enable you to design more integrated and cohesive data solutions.
