Job description

Job Title: Assistant Brand Manager / Senior Brand Executive (FMCG/Lubricants)
Location: Menara Shell, Kuala Lumpur
Employment Type: 1-Year Renewable Contract
Industry: Oil & Gas
Salary Range: RM 3,000 - RM 6,500

Note:

  • Assistant Brand Manager: RM 5,000 - RM 6,500 (4–6 years of experience)
  • Senior Brand Executive: RM 3,000 - RM 4,000 (2-3 years of experience)

Role Overview

This role is focused on developing and implementing impactful brand strategies to strengthen brand awareness, preference, and loyalty among the target audience. The position also involves end-to-end management of integrated marketing campaigns, trade activation, and the execution of key brand initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Brand Management:

  • Develop and execute multi-touchpoint brand-building strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Drive brand preference, loyalty, and business growth through innovative campaigns.

Market Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare and present reports on brand performance, sales data, and market insights.

Campaign & Activation Management:

  • Plan, execute, and monitor integrated marketing campaigns, consumer activations, and media launches.
  • Collaborate with indirect channels, retail partners, and B2C marketing managers for seamless execution of campaigns.
  • Manage premium ordering, delivery, and on-ground trade activations to ensure campaign success.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with internal teams, distributors, and agencies to maintain updated brand maps, pricing strategies, and competitive reviews.
  • Coordinate sponsorships, contracts, and other administrative brand-related matters.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee SP&A management, procurement processes (PR/PO), invoice management, and signing of Master Brand Agreements (MBA).
  • Ensure effective project management for short-term and sub-project execution plans.

Event Support:

  • Support roadshows, promotional events, and other brand initiatives to engage the target audience.

Key Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • Assistant Brand Manager: 4-6 years of experience (preferably in lubricants, FMCG, or related industries).
    • Senior Brand Executive: 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Industry Expertise: Familiarity with lubricants, auto sales aftermarket, or FMCG sectors (e.g., cigarettes or consumer goods).
  • Skills:
    • Project management and stakeholder management.
    • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data analysis.
    • Strong analytical and leadership abilities.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Personal Attributes: Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
