What would you do?
- Draft and/or edit various PR and social media materials, including strategic PR plans, press releases, rollout schedules, fact sheets, content, announcements, and media statements.
- Conduct media pitching, write PR materials, engage in social media, and conduct research.
- Assist in crafting press releases, speeches, and forewords in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Help create informative and engaging digital and social media content to share TNG’s value proposition with internal and external audiences.
- Assist in strategizing and crafting content for LinkedIn from a PR angle and work closely with HR to develop content for #LifeatTNG.
- Assist in implementing key PR activities related to product launches and other public relations activities within the organisation.
- Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure that PR efforts are coordinated, integrated, and aligned.
- Support communications planning and execution, mainly focusing on external communications across multiple campaigns for different audiences and coordinating with various stakeholders.
- Manage and assist in executing employee ambassador and alumni programs, ensuring that internal communications projects are properly planned and integrated with external communications activities.
- Assist in the planning and execution of CSR events together with the Sustainability team.
- Propose, manage, and execute townhall planning and execution.
- Regularly track announcements and PR activity, ensuring information is shared with key staff across the organisation.
- Monitor company, competitor, and industry news effectively through media monitoring.
- Develop content for internal channels such as Yammer and ensure that all internal and external events are updated on Yammer in a timely manner.
- Research, develop, and deliver internal communications that meet the ongoing requirements of the advisory business, in line with corporate branding and communications guidelines.
- Deliver a wide range of communication items, including but not limited to emails, newsletter posts, videos, and presentations.
- Record and document internal and external communications activities and events through basic videography and photography.
- Assist in profiling Senior Leaders via Thought Leadership initiatives such as media interviews and speaking engagements.
- Assist in crafting PR stories for Sustainability.
- Manage other administrative tasks within the Department and Division.
Who should join us?
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on PR and Communications working experience.
- Bilingual in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with strong English language proficiency.
- A versatile PR writer and storyteller.
- Demonstrated excellence in writing press releases, corporate communications, PR writings, product messaging, proactive pitches, blog posts, and talking points.
- Strong storytelling skills in media relations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail, and the ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with confidence in dealing with senior executives and explaining communication techniques.
- Ability to act as an emcee and spokesperson for external and internal events, social media content, and videos.
- Proficiency in project/event management, including budget management and adherence to strict timelines.
- Proficiency in developing corporate presentation decks and event proposals.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a proactive approach.
- Creative and innovative thinking, with problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and proactive mindset.
- Willingness to take initiative and ensure timely delivery of tasks.
- Outgoing personality with mature thinking, creativity, drive, and a willingness to communicate with superiors, peers, and colleagues for information gathering.
- Willingness to undergo training and improve skills in internal communications, and openness to participate in special projects targeting internal audiences.
- Skilled at using PowerPoint Presentation, Canva, and Social Media.
- Highly aware of latest trends on social media and #hashtag trending, especially in the fintech, payment, and highway industries.
