Job description

Overall Job Purpose

Provides day-to-day payroll support to the business units and/or HR Business Partner to ensure that the local/offshore payrolls are processed promptly and accurately. Ensures consistent application of policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide effective and efficient support to the HR Business Partner to ensure the smooth running of the payroll of the various countries and business units.
  2. Provide support to the Team Leader and Team Manager in ensuring that deadlines are met.
  3. Ensure day-to-day payroll related matters are carried out systematically and meticulously.
  4. Provide day-to-day payroll support and advice to employees regarding payroll and tax related matters.
  5. Compile payroll related information for payroll processing.
  6. Generate relevant payroll reports according to the timeline.
  7. Liaise with the Tax advisor and, upon advice, assist in the submission of Expatriate tax returns either yearly or on an ad-hoc basis upon resignation or relocation to another country.
  8. Provide payroll related information for audit purposes to auditors.
  9. Manage onshore payroll and offshore payroll on a monthly basis in a timely and accurate manner. As a regional offshore payroll administrator, this role requires understanding of the regulatory requirements of the various countries and their pension plans.
  10. Check all computations before payment. Work with the AP IPP Administrator to reconcile the International Pension Plan report.
  11. Provide advice on MAA for all offshore payroll. Liaise with DMS London, DHL GCC, and other AP countries.
  12. Ensure that all staff’s personal payroll records, including banking information, are centralized in the offshore payroll system. Liaise with the HR Business Partner for AP based expatriates for such information.
  13. Maintain employee data and ensure data accuracy.
  14. Generate timely and accurate reports in accordance with the SRT and other ad-hoc reports.
  15. Issue employment certification letters upon request.
  16. Monitor employment pass expiry, probation, etc., and advise Business HR.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. 2-4 years of relevant working experience processing Payroll, preferably in an HR Shared Service Centre.
  2. A relevant Diploma/Post Graduate HR professional qualification.
  3. Advanced knowledge and experience in multiple HRIS systems, including SAP.
  4. Advanced experience in generating & customizing reports.
  5. Competent in computing tools (Word & Excel).
  6. Good knowledge of the scope of HR service offerings to BHR.
  7. Ability to engage with BHR and provide consultative advice in all aspects of EDA management and M.I. (Management Information) data reporting.
