The Role

You Will Be Responsible For

1. Troubleshooting highly complex, intricate technical problems to ensure optimal service levels; working on multiple incidents and/or projects simultaneously.
2. Being viewed as an invaluable resource in the technical and operational aspects of one or more IT disciplines.
3. Consulting as a subject-matter expert in areas of technology and technical operations.
4. Acting as a point of escalation in complex, critical instances and leading and directing the efforts of more junior staff during high-impact outages.
5. Utilizing tools to verify and validate that proper thresholds and infrastructure/application information are represented and set appropriately.
6. Investigating major service interruptions and resolutions to ensure future stability of infrastructure and data, leveraging experience and knowledge to proactively engage in root-cause analysis and preventative projects.
7. Reviewing and approving documentation, diagrams, configurations, and tools, and contributing to internal knowledge bases and departmental documentation.
8. Providing technical expertise in cross-functional and intra-departmental efforts.
9. Being involved in prototype and quality assurance activities throughout IT and product management.
10. Leading critical incident turnover with geographically dispersed teams.

1. 4+ years’ experience in IT operations.
2. 4+ years’ experience with industry-leading observability solutions (Splunk, Dynatrace, DataDog, etc.) to solve complex operational and performance issues.
3. Experience in performance-compliant design and sustainable solution architecture.
4. Experience implementing and integrating enterprise software applications.
5. Analyzing and evaluating alternative solutions and recommending cost-effective and efficient solutions.
6. Designing and developing data models to support process and data integration.
7. Ability to understand Moogsoft event lifecycle.
8. Experience with event management and/or monitoring tools.
9. Using communication and process skills to understand monitoring alerts/tools to ingest into Event Correlation tool.
10. Vast knowledge of software configuration management systems.
11. Awareness of the latest technologies and industry trends.
12. Logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate.
13. Proficient understanding of ITIL practices.
