Senior Accounting Executive

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Executive to join our team at Redo Marketing Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam, Selangor. As a full-time member of our dynamic organisation, you will play a pivotal role in our financial accounting and reporting operations, contributing to the overall success of the company.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
2. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practices.
3. Perform cost accounting and analysis, including budget preparation, variance analysis, and cost reporting.
4. Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including the timely submission of financial reports.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and insights to support decision-making.
6. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and implement necessary process improvements.
7. Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
2. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or CPA).
3. Excellent knowledge of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and best practices.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
5. Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
7. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
