Job description

The Senior Accountant Executive/ Finance Manager is responsible for maintaining day-to-day financial reporting and regulatory compliance needs of our business. The person will work closely with the company's cross-country team, while reporting to the head of finance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform the day-to-day financial and administrative operations.
  2. Be responsible for the overall good maintenance of accounting books.
  3. Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and prepare monthly reports including monthly financial statements, cash flow statements, and management reporting.
  4. Support in finalizing month-end reports; upkeep of records for audit.
    1. Recording journal entries (e.g., receipts, payments, purchases, sales, accruals, audit adjustments, etc.).
    2. Summarize monthly revenue & expense report.
    3. Preparation of input tax, output tax reports, and statutory filings and submission to various government agencies.
  5. Ensure compliance of financial records and controls with corporate statutory and regulatory requirements of entities.
  6. Accounts Payable/Receivable Management, including liaising with suppliers/customers for verification of payment/invoices.
  7. Work collaboratively with various internal parties across the company's global offices to acquire or provide information needed to support leadership analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  8. Participate with the team in liaising with external auditors, tax agents, and external parties for all statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  9. Prepare payments by certifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  10. Coordinate and support between Finance Manager and Head of Office.
  11. Timely follow-up with customers on payments.
  12. Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements, including for staff reimbursements and expense reports.
  13. Update Cash Book whenever payment has been made.
  14. Maintain the flow of cash in and out as well as the internal transfer of funds.
  15. Prepare bank reconciliation statements to keep track of balances.
  16. Support any ad hoc administrative work, if any.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance or recognized certificate such as ACCA.
  2. Relevant at least 3 years of working experience in the related field is preferred.
  3. Proficient in XERO, MS Office.
  4. Experience/working knowledge of Xero accounting software would be a plus.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills, good team player, and willing to learn.
  6. Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  7. Passionate and willing to learn.
  8. Able to start work immediately would be a plus.
