We're looking to add a Senior Accountant located in Ipoh, Perak to support our extraordinary teams and contribute to our growth.

Responsibilities:
Oversee group consolidation process including and not limited to the review consolidated financial statements in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (“MFRS”) and other consolidated management reports.
Prepare interim financial report in accordance with Bursa Malaysia’s Listing Requirement (“Listing Requirements”) and relating financial information for presentation to Audit Committee/Board of Directors and for Bursa Malaysia’s quarterly announcement purposes.
To coordinate and ensure finalisation of annual audited financial statements and annual report of the Group. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Oversee the Group’s month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Responsibilities include general ledger activities, such as journal entries, accruals, accounting estimates and intercompany transactions of the Group of companies.
Oversee the Group’s tax function, including tax planning, compliance and reporting of direct and indirect taxes and transfer pricing.
Oversee the Group’s annual budget preparation and quarterly performance review process.
Contribute to risk management function including assessing financial risks faced by the Group, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and maintain data integrity.
Stay updated on relevant regulatory changes and accounting standards, ensuring compliance, and recommending improvements to existing procedures. Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development.
Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management for strategic decision-making.
Lead Accounts Department’s improvement projects and provide supporting role in ad-hoc Group digitisation and sustainability projects and other initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and a member of/or eligible for membership of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”) or equivalent.
Possess at least five years working experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a publicly listed company or a reputable accounting firm.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance and good knowledge in Malaysia taxation and Listing Requirements.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Power Automate and the proficiency in accounting software and ERP system (e.g., SAP, EPICOR, QNE, Auto Count) will be an advantage.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, coupled with solid organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information effectively to stakeholders at various levels. An excellent team player.
Required to travel when necessary.
