Senior Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting the month-end close process.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
2. Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all transactions.
3. Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
4. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
5. Assist with the preparation and coordination of audits.
6. Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant regulations.
7. Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory reports (if applicable).
8. Develop and maintain strong internal controls.
9. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
10. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support.
11. Mentor and train junior accounting staff (if applicable).
12. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
13. Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. 5 years of progressive experience in accounting.
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
4. Experience with month-end close processes and account reconciliations.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
7. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
10. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
