Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervising accounts department, overseeing financial operation and monthly management accounts.
  • To monitor cashflow and ensure payments are made in a timely manner.
  • To manage full-set management accounts closings & analysis on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • To manage, supervise, check & control accounting book-keeping operations of full set of accounts i.e. FAR, AP, AR, Other GL, Cashbook, Journals and Reconciliation accounts.
  • To assist in all corporate finance and treasury functions such as liaise with bankers, FX contract, fund transfer, fund raising, etc.
  • To liaise and follow up with Auditor / Tax Agent / Co-Secretariat / authorities / LHDN and to ensure compliance and timely submission of all statutory related matters e.g. SST filing, Tax filing, MIDA, Co. Annual Return filing, Kastam application/certification/renewal/clearance, etc.
  • To liaise with other external parties such as customers and vendors for all financial related matters.
  • To review and uphold Accounts & Finance dept.'s policy, SOP, work processes & work instructions to be relevant, effective and efficient.
  • To supervise and guide junior staff in accounting operations and to also lead and guide junior staff in troubleshooting and problem solving as and when situation required.
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Communicate with managers and/or Director on work status.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate.
  • Professional Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent.
  • At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Group consolidation experiences.
  • Familiar with accounting and reporting standards, good knowledge in accounting, regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
