Job Description:
1. Manage the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
3. Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
4. Ensure compliance with tax regulations (SST, income tax, withholding tax) and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
5. Coordinate and oversee the annual financial audit process.
6. Prepare management reports and financial analysis for decision-making.
7. Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
8. Support the General Manager with financial planning, business strategies, and investment analysis.
9. Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
10. Monitor debtor aging and follow up on outstanding payments.
11. Evaluate and improve accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
12. Provide guidance and supervision to junior accounting staff.
13. Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
14. Maintain updated knowledge of financial policies, regulations, and industry standards.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred.
3. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
4. Strong knowledge of MFRS, taxation, and financial regulations.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
7. High level of integrity and attention to detail.
