Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients targeting the Japanese domestic companies.

    • Act as the main point of contact for strategic discussions and project updates.

    • Understand client needs and goals to tailor software solutions accordingly.

  2. Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and execute account strategies that align with client objectives and business goals.

    • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services or products.

    • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.

  3. Project Oversight:

    • Collaborate with project managers and development teams to ensure project delivery meets client expectations.

    • Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet client needs.

  4. Performance Analysis:

    • Assess account performance metrics and prepare reports for clients and internal teams.

    • Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data.

  5. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.

    • Participate in brainstorming sessions to innovate and improve service offerings.

  6. Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.

    • Support proposal development and pitch presentations for new projects.

  7. Mentorship:

    • Mentor junior account strategists and team members, fostering professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is preferred and will be compensated well.

  • Experience: 5+ years in account management, strategy, or consulting, preferably in the software or technology sector.

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Japanese.

    • Experience working in Japanese companies is advantageous.

    • Proven track record of managing client relationships and driving account growth.

    • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.

    • Knowledge of software development processes and methodologies is advantageous.
