Senior Account Executive (Mount Austin, Johor)

Responsibilities

• Manage full sets of books/accounts and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and regulatory requirements as well as adherence to Company's policies and procedures.
• Prepare and submit GST returns.
• Prepare yearly financial reports in XBRL format for Annual Return submission.
• Process monthly payroll computations and generate payroll reports.
• Prepare corporate tax computations.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and schedules that are to be delivered to the clients and other external parties.
• Assist in the functions of client portfolio management.
• Ensure all clients' needs are met in regards to answering queries promptly, building relationships with clients, and anticipating requirements.
• Provide clients with value-adding recommendations for improvements in processes and controls.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or a professional qualification under ACCA, CIMA, and ICAEW schemes.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is mandatory.
• Minimum 2-3 years accounting/audit work experience in a public accounting firm.
• Conversant and understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Company Act.
• Proficient in the use of accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Navision etc.) and spreadsheets.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills.
• Possess initiative and ability to work independently.
• Able to start on short notice or immediately is preferable.

Remuneration
Up to RM 5,000 (based on experience).
