Job Description
A company accountant is primarily responsible for managing and overseeing the daily financial activities of an organization. They ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded, support budgeting and forecasting efforts, and provide timely financial insights to support business decisions. This role often involves working closely with various departments to streamline financial operations and maintain compliance with internal and external regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is often preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. (Mandarin speaker needed to communicate with China Market)
  6. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

• Financial Record Keeping:

  1. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  2. Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  3. Oversee the preparation of journal entries and supporting documentation.

• Financial Reporting:

  1. Generate regular financial statements and operational reports.
  2. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing packages.
  3. Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

• Budgeting and Forecasting:

  1. Support the development and monitoring of budgets.
  2. Assist in forecasting financial performance and cash flow.
  3. Provide variance analysis and recommendations based on financial results.

• Internal Controls and Compliance:

  1. Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  3. Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

• Operational Efficiency:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes.
  2. Evaluate and improve accounting procedures and systems.
  3. Monitor day-to-day financial operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Accounts Management:

  1. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
  2. Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  3. Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.

• Support Strategic Initiatives:

  1. Provide financial insights for operational and strategic decision-making.
  2. Participate in financial planning and analysis projects.
  3. Support special projects as needed, such as system implementations or process improvements.
