Key responsibilities and accountabilities

1. Responsible for handling full set accounts for company accounts assigned.
2. Prepare monthly closing, financial reports, payment vouchers, journal vouchers, and bank reconciliation.
3. Handling full set of accounts includes fixed assets maintenance and performing a sanity check on account payables.
4. Ensure all accounting systems, practices, controls, and procedures comply with company policy.
5. Prepare cash flow planning to fulfill supplier payments.
6. Liaise with auditors on annual statutory audit matters and tax agents on annual tax computation/filling.
7. Maintain proper records of all financial documents, especially ensuring all payment amounts and inter-company transactions have been recorded accurately.
8. Oversight of the full spectrum of finance duties, including banking & treasury; accounting & reporting; financial planning & analysis; cash flow management, and assisting in business decision-making for the operating company.
9. Implement and maintain an accounting system, internal controls, and working procedures for the company.
10. Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as required.
11. Take reasonable care for the Health, Safety, Environmental and Welfare as per the Occupational Safety & Health Act, company policy and OSH Management System.

Experience and Qualification

1. At least 3-4 years of working experience in construction/railways industry or related field.
2. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines.
5. Self-motivated with strong analytical skills.
6. Attention to detail, very organized, prioritization skills, time management, and independence.

Education

1. The candidate must possess at least Diploma/Professional Certificate, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.

Over the years, we take great pride in having established our name in the local construction industry having successfully completed several major construction works including part of the Central Link KLIA Expressway, Rail Link to West Port, part of the Electrified Double Tracking between Rawang and Ipoh (stations and roads), major slope rehabilitation works along the North-South Expressway and the LHDN building in Bangi.

In recent years, we have progressed to Property Development with our maiden project at Taman Bukit Zamrud, Seremban and are planning another niche residential development at Beranang, Hulu Langat.

We have also expanded our wings overseas and are currently undertaking several large infrastructure projects in India, valued over several hundred million ringgit, which include Tolled Road Projects under the BOT scheme partly funded by the Indian Government and three major expressway projects, in four corners of India, namely in the states of Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Since inception, DMIA has expanded by leaps and bounds, helmed by a highly competent management team and staffed by a mix of professionals from various disciplines who have been in lead positions in several prestigious mega construction projects such as the Penang Bridge, North-South Expressway, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, large residential townships, etc.
