Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park, Kuala Lumpur campus is a large 3-18 school located on a green 20-acre site with excellent facilities and offers a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating place to work. We are looking for a Secondary English Teacher to help us guide the school and work with our colleagues to take us to the next level. You will be good at working with and inspiring your colleagues, our students, and their parents.

The Role

We are looking for someone who:

  1. Puts children at the heart of everything they do and cares about their wellbeing.
  2. Enjoys being a team player willing to work with, learn from, and help develop others.
  3. Is an inspiring English teacher with a proven track record in making students better.
  4. Has a genuine interest in English language and Literature and a desire to pass this onto young people.
  5. Is an outstanding teaching practitioner with a teaching qualification (minimum PGCE or equivalent).
  6. Has experience or ability of teaching English Language and Literature at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
  7. Is someone who recognises and rewards excellent learning.
  8. Is a strong communicator, who is personable, caring, and passionate with high expectations of themselves and others.
  9. Is committed to their own continued professional development and excited about professional learning conversations with like-minded colleagues.
  10. Is committed to safeguarding and sees the pastoral responsibilities of a teacher as central to everyone’s role.

The Package

This is a two-year contract with an option to renew at the end. Benefits include:

Interviews

Initial interviews will be completed through Microsoft Teams. Final interviews may be carried out face-to-face whenever possible.
