About the role

Work Location: 1Powerhouse, PJ (5mins walk from MRT Bandar Utama)
Reporting To: Operations Finance Team Lead (Europe)
Working hours: 2pm - 11pm

This role is responsible for the day-to-day management and review of the Kerry SAP Material Ledger. The Material Ledger encompasses sites between production plants and storage locations across Europe. Within the production plant, the Material Ledger covers the full end-to-end solution with comprehensive costing based on average weighted cost. Additionally, there may be periods when the role will assist with the integration of new locations into the Kerry SAP Material Ledger solution.

Key responsibilities

Control

1. Ensure stock valuation and processes comply with statutory requirements and Kerry procedures.
2. Maintain strong internal controls to mitigate business risk around stock valuation.
3. Support Central Financial control with external and internal audits of stock valuation.

Data Integrity

1. Take full responsibility for the data quality in Product Cost Estimates and the Material Ledger.
2. Liaise with Central IT support to ensure transactional issues in the SAP configuration are corrected.
3. Complete monthly reconciliations of the material ledger to investigate and resolve data issues, including conducting root cause analysis to reduce ongoing issues.

Processes

1. Run and distribute weekly reports for monitoring the material ledger.
2. Deliver central month-end processes to ensure the material ledger closes on time.
3. Support Operations finance plant teams with material ledger issue resolution and training.
4. Complete month-end material ledger reconciliations.
5. Assist Commercial finance with stock and cost of sales valuation queries.

Qualifications and skills

1. More than 3 years of general SAP experience, with at least 2 years focused on material ledger control.
2. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for both technical and business issues.
