SAP BTP Developer

You will work as part of the Global SAP Centre of Excellence and develop/implement business solutions based on user requirements analysis into the cloud environment. You will report to the SAP COE DEV BTP DELIVERY Lead and will be based at UOA Shah Alam.

Main Responsibilities

• You need broad expertise across the SAP Cloud Domain with skills in different technologies such as CAP (Cloud Application Programming), RAP (RestFull Abap Programming), performance tuning, and OData knowledge. You also have some expertise in Fiori, UI5, and Fiori elements.
• Knowledge in administration domain is also a main element for this position, including sub-account management, connectivity, and BTP services management (SAP CI/CD, Pipelines, Workflow,…).
• Propose, program or configure, document, and unit test business solutions according to the functional and technical requirements adhering to SAP standards and our PPG Coding standards as closely as possible.
• You will liaise remotely with several colleagues across the globe but will be based alongside other SAP Consultants in the Technology Centre in Malaysia.
• Within a matrix organization, you will report to the Global SAP CoE BTP Stream Lead.
• You will be proactive in building excellent working relationships with both your IT colleagues and functional/business stakeholders.
• You will need to be a self-starter who can quickly develop a good understanding of our S/4 system (On-Prem system) and our BTP environment (within 1 – 3 months).
• You may be required to work on our backend systems linked to EMEA, USCA, and APAC regions for supporting any emergency.
• You will evaluate the x-stream impact of any solutions proposed and ensure that SAP coding standards are followed.

Qualifications

• Excellent English oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
• Excellent level of remote communication and autonomy.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Cloud development with strong experience in SAP Cloud development.
• Played a developer role in numerous SAP BTP projects.
• Outstanding self-starter with a commitment to delivering high-quality work in pressurized environments.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote working organization.
• Degree in Information Management or Computer Science.
• Experience using SAP Solution Manager toolset for managing changes, transports, and incidents would be advantageous.
• Participation in SAP Cloud implementation.

Your knowledge of SAP must include:

• CAP and RAP developing models.
• CDS views: Creation, update of CDS views, exposure of them as ODATA services.
• Capability to perform some administrative activities from a BTP perspective (Sub Account management, BTP services setup, Pipelines configuration, Git repository…).
