Job description

Siemens is searching for a Sales Professional for Electrification and Automation (EA) portfolio – Medium & Low Voltage Equipment, Automation and IoT Solution to join our sales team for vertical focus on electrical power distribution projects in Malaysia. This candidate will be tasked to exceed sales targets for the Siemens EA portfolio and working directly with End Users, Consultants, Main Contractor, EPCs, M&E Contractors and multiple sales channels.

You’ll make an impact by:

  1. Generating the leads in the assigned vertical segment.
  2. Developing and executing strategic sales plans to ensure business goals are achieved according to the yearly sales target.
  3. Collaborating with Local Sales Team and Siemens Business Units to capture opportunity transparency in the Malaysia market.
  4. Possessing and cultivating long-term relationships with key decision makers within the customer organization, spanning across procurement, engineering, operations, and business development.
  5. Supporting technical and engineering to the electrical consultants.
  6. Tracking and updating with targeted accounts and leads through use of Siemens cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  7. Guiding and providing customer’s commercial terms requirement to the internal support team.
  8. Leading and capturing opportunities in the assigned vertical and collaborating within Siemens to promote the company as a unified entity to customers.

You’d describe yourself as:

  1. 3+ years of sales experience to End Users, EPCs, and M&E Contractors is a plus; excellent negotiation skills are essential.
  2. Track record of delivering effective sales pitches and securing purchase orders, with experience in giving presentations to various customer levels.
  3. Proven experience in building relationships with clients at both executive and operational levels, including mapping out organizational structures for strategic sales execution.
  4. Skilled in reviewing RFQs, understanding technical requirements, and negotiating commercial terms.
  5. Strong ability to engage with customers during the early stages of project development, including budget discussions, technical advice, and specification reviews.
  6. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; open to recent graduates with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
