Job description

The Sales & Marketing Associate will be responsible for driving sales, executing marketing strategies, and building customer relationships to increase revenue and brand awareness. This role requires a combination of sales expertise, strategic marketing planning, and excellent communication skills to achieve Nawwarah Travel’s business objectives.

Qualifications & Education

Knowledge in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or related fields.

Candidates with professional certifications in sales/marketing (e.g., CIM, Google Digital Marketing) will have an added advantage.

Work Experience

Experience in sales & marketing, preferably in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry.

Experience in B2B and B2C sales, especially in high-ticket items like Umrah & Hajj packages, is preferred.

Strong background in digital marketing and social media advertising.

Strong persuasion and negotiation skills to close deals.

Ability to handle objections and build customer trust.

Marketing & Branding Knowledge

Understanding of traditional and digital marketing strategies.

Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and PPC advertising.

Communication & Relationship Building

Strong verbal and written communication in Malay & English (Arabic is a plus).

Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, agents, and corporate partners.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

Ability to analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.

Adaptability & Initiative

Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Sales Responsibilities

  1. Identify and approach potential clients through various channels, including online inquiries, networking, and referrals.
  2. Generate and maintain a database of leads from social media, Google Ads, WhatsApp, and walk-in customers.
  3. Conduct cold calling, email outreach, and follow-ups to convert prospects into customers.
  4. Understand customers' needs and provide detailed information on Nawwarah Travel’s Umrah, Hajj, and travel packages.
  5. Educate clients on itinerary details, accommodation, flights, visa requirements, and other essential travel arrangements.
  6. Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat bookings and word-of-mouth referrals.
  7. Conduct professional sales presentations (online & face-to-face) to individuals and groups.
  8. Negotiate package pricing, close sales, and ensure a smooth booking process.
  9. Manage the entire customer journey from inquiry to booking confirmation.
  10. Establish partnerships with mosques, religious organizations, universities, and corporate entities for group bookings.
  11. Track and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  12. Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, conversion rates, and revenue targets.
  13. Provide feedback to management on market demand, customer preferences, and competitor activities.

Marketing Responsibilities

  1. Assist in planning and executing marketing strategies to attract new customers.
  2. Collaborate with the creative team to design promotional materials (brochures, flyers, posters, banners).
  3. Work closely with the digital marketing team to run online advertising campaigns (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Google Ads).
  4. Manage and update company social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  5. Respond to customer inquiries and comments on social media professionally and promptly.
  6. Create engaging content such as testimonials, promotions, and travel tips.
  7. Organize and participate in travel fairs, roadshows, and promotional events.
  8. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing platforms and customer touchpoints.
  9. Conduct market research to understand customer preferences, market trends, and industry demands.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  1. Sales Target Achievement – Monthly and annual revenue targets met or exceeded.
  2. Lead Conversion Rate – Percentage of inquiries converted into confirmed bookings.
  3. Customer Satisfaction – Positive feedback and minimal complaints from clients.
  4. Marketing ROI – Effectiveness of campaigns in generating leads and conversions.
