About the role

We are seeking a talented and driven Sales Manager to join our dynamic team at Sunway Putra Hotel Kuala Lumpur. As a Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the hotel's sales and revenue growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies. This full-time position is based in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur.

What you'll be doing

1. Developing and implementing comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets
2. Prospecting and building relationships with new clients and maintaining strong partnerships with existing ones
3. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, and event organisers
4. Negotiating and closing sales deals, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction
5. Analysing market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies
6. Preparing and presenting sales proposals and reports to senior management
7. Mentoring and leading a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support
8. Collaborating cross-functionally with other departments to deliver exceptional customer experiences

What we're looking for

1. Proven track record of success in a sales management role within the hospitality industry
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
3. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics
4. Proficient in sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting
5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a customer-centric approach
6. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask
7. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
