About the role

We are looking for an experienced and creative interior designer to join our team. As an Interior Designer in Sales and Marketing, you will combine your design expertise with a strong sales ability, playing a crucial role in conceptualizing and executing exceptional design solutions for our diverse range of clients, in our continued growth and success within the interior design industry.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Interior Designer at I DESIGN CONCEPT SDN BHD in Melaka, travelling is needed to site (Melaka and outstation), and it offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects that will showcase your design and sales expertise, managing the design and sales process from initial consultation till project completion.

What you'll be doing

1. Meet and collaborate closely with clients to understand their space requirements, design preferences, and budgetary constraints.
2. Develop custom, visually appealing, creative and innovative interior design concepts that meet the client's needs and vision.
3. Present design ideas and solutions to clients in a persuasive and professional manner.
4. Sales & Customer Engagement: Generate new business by prospecting and building strong relationships with potential clients. Identify and follow up on sales opportunities to meet or exceed targets.
5. Address client concerns or issues promptly, ensuring satisfaction throughout the design process.
6. Prepare detailed design plans, drawings, and renderings to effectively communicate design ideas.
7. Select and specify appropriate materials, furnishings, and finishes to bring the design to life.
8. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the design.
9. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
10. Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the design and installation process.
11. Presentation & Showroom Management: Maintain and organize showroom displays and conduct product demonstrations to showcase designs and concepts to clients.
12. Collaborate with the design team to ensure the successful implementation of approved designs.
13. Keep up-to-date with the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies.
14. Contribute to the overall growth and development of the company's interior design services.

What we're looking for

1. A bachelor's degree (or related) in Interior Design or a related field.
2. Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales or client-facing interior design role.
3. Strong proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vray/Enscape, 3ds Max, and various software (Application Software and 3D visualization tools).
4. Excellent space planning, colour, and material selection skills.
5. Sales-driven mindset with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate design concepts into compelling client proposals.
7. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Passion for design and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
9. Knowledge of Design Process: Ability to independently handle projects from concept to completion.
10. Attention to Detail and Responsibility: Detail-oriented with good time management skills, able to complete tasks efficiently.
11. Teamwork Skills: Strong communication skills, able to work well with team members and clients to achieve goals.
12. Familiarity with the latest industry trends, materials, and design best practices.
