Reports To: Director of Sales / Sales Manager

Job Summary:

The Sales Executive is responsible for managing corporate sales and handling end-to-end meeting & event arrangements for the hotel. The role involves building strong business relationships, securing corporate accounts, coordinating events from planning to execution, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The candidate must proactively follow up on leads daily, plan business prospects, and update sales reports regularly. Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred to cater to a wider corporate clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, and business organizations.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct sales calls, meetings, and presentations to promote hotel services.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts, proposals, and corporate agreements.
  • Maintain a database of corporate accounts and track sales performance.
  • Follow up on sales leads daily to convert prospects into confirmed bookings.
  • Plan business prospects and develop strategies to expand the corporate client base.

Meeting & Event Planning & Execution (End-to-End):

  • Handle all aspects of event planning, including inquiries, proposals, site inspections, and confirmations.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements, including room setup, F&B, and special requests.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (F&B, banquet, front office, housekeeping, etc.) to ensure smooth execution.
  • Oversee the setup and on-site management of corporate events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Provide post-event follow-ups and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Sales Administration, Reporting & Market Analysis:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, and client communications.
  • Update daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to track performance and progress.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to refine sales strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and provide insights to the sales team.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hotel sales, corporate sales, or event management, preferably in a 4-star hotel setting.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple corporate accounts and events simultaneously.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and goal-driven.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hotel sales systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi).

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and Malay is required.
  • Mandarin proficiency (spoken & written) is preferred to cater to Chinese-speaking clients.

Other Requirements:

  • Willing to travel locally for client meetings and networking events.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and public holidays, based on event schedules.
