Job description

We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Sales Executive to join our team at INTERWAY Transport Sdn Bhd, a leader in the logistics and supply chain industry.

As a Sales Executive, you will play a vital role in driving sales growth, building strong relationships with new and existing clients, and promoting our logistics services to expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Generate new business opportunities by identifying and targeting potential clients in the logistics industry.
  2. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing customized solutions.
  3. Present and promote company's services to prospective clients through meetings, calls, and presentations.
  4. Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  5. Work closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure client requirements are met and service expectations are exceeded.
  6. Maintain a detailed and up-to-date sales pipeline, tracking leads, follow-ups, and closing processes.
  7. Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities for business growth.
  8. Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to management.
  9. Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay up-to-date on market trends and identify new business prospects.
  10. Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance with legal regulations during the sales process.

Requirements

  1. Preferably with a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Proven experience in sales, preferably in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales targets.
  5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and sales processes.
  6. Self-motivated, target-driven, and eager to meet and exceed sales goals.

Preferred Skills

  1. Previous experience in the logistics or transportation industry.
  2. Knowledge of freight forwarding, shipping, and customs procedures.
  3. Familiarity with international markets and shipping regulations.
