What will you work on?

We are presently seeking a Sales Executive to become part of CLLS. This position is on a permanent basis, and the work location will be at our Kulai Jaya, Johor Bahru office.

Responsibilities

  1. Identify potential customers through cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.
  2. Develop a targeted customer acquisition plan to penetrate new markets.
  3. Conduct in-depth needs analysis to understand customer requirements and provide suitable product recommendations.
  4. Develop and deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations.
  5. Prepare detailed and competitive quotations, negotiate terms, and close deals effectively.
  6. Ensure accurate documentation of sales contracts, delivery schedules, and post-sales service requirements.
  7. Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, ensuring repeat business.
  8. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly.
  9. Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to assess their satisfaction and identify further needs.
  10. Gain a deep understanding of the features, functions, and benefits of industrial Gensets.
  11. Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to customize solutions based on client specifications.
  12. Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in the industry.
  13. Conduct market research to understand customer demands, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities.
  14. Provide insights and recommendations to management on pricing, product positioning, and sales strategies.
  15. Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns to boost brand visibility and sales.
  16. Maintain detailed records of sales activities in CRM systems.
  17. Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports to management.
  18. Track and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
  19. Work closely with logistics and production teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
  20. Liaise with the finance department to follow up on payments and credit terms.
  21. Coordinate with after-sales service teams to ensure smooth handling of installation, maintenance, or repairs.
  22. Travel to meet clients and conduct site visits, including industrial settings and outdoor locations.
  23. Manage schedules to ensure optimal coverage of assigned territories.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in industrial machinery or Genset sales
  • Experience with Volvo, Perkins, Doosan, MTU, and other diesel engines ranging from 20-3000kVA.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of the English language is compulsory; Mandarin is an advantage.
  • High proficiency in using SAP tools, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and email platforms.
