Sales Executive

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Executive to join our team at the Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio property in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This full-time role will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and strengthen the hotel's presence in the local market.

What you'll be doing

1. Proactively identify and cultivate new sales opportunities within the Penang hospitality and tourism industry
2. Liaise with potential clients to understand their needs and promote the hotel's facilities, services and offerings
3. Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and pitches to secure new business
4. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat bookings
5. Collaborate cross-functionally with the marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of customer experiences
6. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and maintain the hotel's competitive edge
7. Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets
8. Provide regular sales reports and insights to management

What we're looking for

1. At least 2-3 years of sales experience in the hospitality or tourism industry
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients
3. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to overcome objections and close deals
4. Familiarity with sales techniques and customer relationship management best practices
5. Proficient in using sales and CRM software to track and manage leads and opportunities
6. Passionate about the hospitality industry and committed to delivering exceptional customer service
7. A team player with a positive attitude and the drive to contribute to the hotel's success
