Job Summary
As a Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and building strong relationships with clients in the oil and gas sector. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, providing technical expertise, and offering tailored solutions to meet their requirements. Your ability to combine technical knowledge with sales acumen will be key to achieving sales targets and expanding our market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the oil and gas industry.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
Achieve and exceed sales targets by promoting the company’s products and services.
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring they understand the features and benefits of our products.
Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to develop customized solutions for clients.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and competitor offerings.
Client Relationship Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Market Analysis:
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential areas for growth.
Provide feedback to the management team on market needs and customer preferences.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and submit accurate sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to the management team.
Maintain detailed records of client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in sales or business development within the oil and gas industry.
Strong technical knowledge of oil and gas products, equipment, and services.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building client relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus.
Willingness to travel frequently to meet clients and attend industry events.
