Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a MNC leader in the precision instruments industry. Our client is seeking a sales engineer with strong technical expertise and customer focus skills involved in managing existing accounts, acquiring new customers, and providing technical support. A deep understanding of the product line is required to effectively address customer needs and provide solutions.

Job Description:

Sales and Marketing

  1. Managing existing accounts and consistently updating sales pipelines
  2. Qualifying database and updating CRM
  3. Establishing new accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedules
  4. Identifying current and potential customer requirements by establishing personal rapport and understanding key requirements
  5. Support Team Leader in execution of marketing campaigns, leads generation, and management
  6. Provide and present product & technical information to potential and existing customers


Technical Advisory and Product Advocate

  1. Responsible for actively driving and managing project pipelines
  2. Provide technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the technical support team. Becoming a competent key technical advisor and product advocate for the company's products
  3. Communicate regulatory compliance requirements and applications effectively, demonstrating the company's market leadership and expertise in the relevant fields
  4. Interact with customers' engineering teams to illustrate the company's valued propositions
  5. Responsible for representing the products to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  6. Develop customer's staff by providing technical information and training
  7. Conduct negotiations to secure a win-win agreement with customers


Service Standards and Customer Relationship Management

  1. Determine improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environments; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of equipment or services
  2. Prepare cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents
  3. Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements
  4. Maintain records of customer communication and sales activity in our CRM system.


Job requirements include:

  1. Industrial equipment sales experience in the manufacturing industries
  2. Sound understanding of manufacturing workflows and architecture

Mandatory

  1. Degree/Diploma in any engineering discipline preferably in Electrical/ Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering or related field
  2. Basic knowledge on Control Instrumentation System (sensors, transmitters)
  3. Knowledge on Data communication protocol (fieldbus, TCP/IP, Analog & Digital output signals)
  4. Minimum 2 years working experience in a Technical sales Environment or in a similar capacity
  5. Self-starter with a proactive approach
  6. Understanding of sales & distribution with intermediate project management skills
  7. Willing to travel (within Malaysia)
  8. Strong interpersonal skills and influencing ability
  9. Valid driving license
