Sales Engineer

About our client:

The company is a global leader in design services and franchised distribution for semiconductors and networking products. They provide services and high-value products, including semiconductor components, electronic devices, network equipment, and software, primarily to Japanese and foreign electrical and electronics manufacturers who lead the information and telecommunication industry.

Job Descriptions:

• Be part of the team of a prominent Japanese semiconductor distributor expanding its share worldwide:
  Manage and grow Japanese customers in the ASEAN region.
• Liaise closely with HQ in Japan on customers' projects transfer to ASEAN.
• Co-ordinate pricing with the marketing department and facilitate quotes to customers.
• Review customers' forecasts and work with the customer service department to ensure smooth
  deliveries to customers.
• Conduct face-to-face or online meetings with customers or internal parties to maintain good
  relationships, understand customers' production trends to budget sales amounts, or discuss daily
  topics.
• Engage in the Company’s expansion into new business sectors that are beyond
  semiconductor distribution.

Qualification & Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in any discipline.
• Basic knowledge of Electrical & Electronics Engineering will be beneficial.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the electronic components industry.
• Japanese language proficiency (N3 or above) skill will be advantageous.
• Good communication skills with a pleasant personality to work in a team.
• Good analytical skills with a meticulous attitude, logical thinking & problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and experience with ERP systems like Oracle/SAP.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, export/import & logistics (warehouse/forwarding) will be advantageous.
• Overseas travel is required.

Remuneration:

• Up to RM 4,500.
• RM 1,100 guaranteed reimbursement.
• Performance bonus pay-out twice per year.
