The company

Our client is an independent market leader in intelligent customer engagement technology. The company has built its own portfolio of AI, Marketing Automation, and Real-time customer engagement technology, and aims to be a leader in the use of AI and machine learning in customer engagement.


Our client is headquartered in The Netherlands, with offices in the United Arab Emirates and India. It also has a presence in Germany, Mexico, Singapore, South Africa, and Colombia.

The Opportunity

The Candidate shall be responsible for winning profitable opportunities for my client's Products and Solutions in South East Asia.

As the Director of Sales for South East Asia you:

  1. Will be responsible for selling our client's Products and Solutions in SEA. He/She will be driving all activities of the Sales Cycle from Identification to Closure and Contracting.
  2. Target new opportunities in CVM / Digital CVM (Customer Value Management) and Customer Experience (CV) related areas amongst the Communication Service Providers in SEA (the client also sells to Enterprise customers but Telco will be the focus).
  3. Presentation to Clients, Preparation of Proposals and Negotiation of Commercial Terms and Conditions.
  4. Develop opportunity specific partner/channel if necessary.
  5. Leverage own relationships, own networking and develop new relationships with C Level executives of customer. Ensure that this healthy relationship is maintained between existing customers and my client at all levels.
  6. Understand the scope of the current solution delivered and map new opportunities across their digital CX spectrum to upsell and cross-sell our clients technology and products in the existing accounts.
  7. Keep the customer appraised about our clients technology and solution roadmap.
  8. Manage business transformation initiatives with tangible impact on the bottom line.
  9. Monitor key account metrics and forecast trends. Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Minimum 5+ years of predominant sales experience, selling into Communication Service Providers in LATAM. MBA or Engineering degree from a premium B school.
  2. “Hunter”, having a good connect with major Telecom Operators of the region (preferably at the CXO level).
  3. Can demonstrate history of closing several new customers per year in selling SW (more than $2 million value total).
  4. The ability to make impactful customer centric solution presentations to customer organizations (CMO/Marketing Director, Product Heads, Technical Heads).
  5. Understand commercials, contracts and the ability to negotiate sustainably profitable commercial terms and conditions.
  6. Aware and informed about the latest trends of the industry (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, M2M, Digital).
  7. Ability to identify, connect and network with key stakeholders at the customers end on a regular basis.
  8. Should have managed teams/customers with multicultural background.
  9. Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new technologies and market trends.

You also have

  1. Proficiency in English and command over any other foreign language will be an added advantage.
  2. Excellent Presentation Skills & should be able to impactfully introduce our client and the value it can generate for the customer.
  3. Team Player, with Multi-Cultural Exposure.
  4. Willingness to travel or move to different geographies as per organizational needs.
