Sales Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team at Makkah Mart in Putrajaya, one of the grocery shops under Far East Interlink Sdn Bhd. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales within our retail store. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

• Providing a warm and welcoming customer experience by greeting and assisting customers.
• Demonstrating and explaining product features to customers, helping them find the right products.
• Handling cash and card transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Maintaining store displays and ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked and organized.
• Assisting with inventory management and stock replenishment.
• Contributing to the overall success of the store by actively participating in sales and promotions.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail sales role, preferably in the Retail & Consumer Products industry.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with no prior experience are welcome to apply.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and provide exceptional service.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team.
• Numerical skills and the ability to handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• A positive, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude, with the willingness to learn and adapt.
