Job Summary
The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment within the precast manufacturing facility. This role involves implementing safety policies, conducting training, and monitoring workplace safety practices to reduce incidents and promote a culture of safety.

Job Description:

1. Identifying potential risks within the work environment and identifying unsafe acts and conditions at the factory.
2. Liaise with local authorities for Safety & Health matters.
3. Responsible for general conformance and compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements.
4. Issue Permit To Work (PTW) for related works and review work method statements (MS) on safety & health matters.
5. Daily monitoring of workplace unsafe acts and conditions.
6. Monitor all related factory activities and conduct regular inspections, ensuring work aligns with approved JSA, Risk Assessment, Method Statement, and approved Permit to Work System.
7. Assist the Safety Manager in organizing and leading site investigations and mitigating safety incidents.
8. Assist the Safety Manager in performing safety & health inspections, briefings, and training at the workplace.
9. Conduct induction and toolbox meetings and safety task briefings for workers and sub-contractors.
10. Monitor & review all factory machinery's routine physical inspections & record keeping, such as gantry/overhead cranes, rebar machines, turntables, lifting gears, etc.
11. Monitor & review all factory electrical hand and power tools routine physical inspections & record keeping, such as hackers, grinders, welding sets, etc.
12. Conduct weekly workplace and plant audits.
13. Maintain records, compile, and submit documents & records related to Occupational Safety & Health.
14. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by superiors from time to time.

Requirements:

1. Certified and registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH / JKKP (Green Book Holder).
2. Professional Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree (Environment / Health / Safety) or its equivalent.
3. Minimum 3 years of experience in Safety.
4. Familiarity with HSE legal requirements and other regulations.
5. Registered as SHO with DOSH.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
