Safety Officer

About the role

As a Safety Officer at JOB ELITE TT AGENCY, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our team members at our construction site in Pengerang, Johor. This full-time position is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols, managing safety training, and fostering a strong safety culture across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
• Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures and training programs
• Providing safety orientations and training to all site personnel
• Investigating incidents and accidents, and taking corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to safety activities
• Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
• Promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging safe work practices among all employees

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels
• Proficient in conducting safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
• Proactive and detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
