Safety Officer

About the role

As a Safety Officer at ELITE TRANSFORM TEAM, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees on a full-time basis. Based in Pengerang, Johor, this role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment and driving our company's commitment to industry-leading health and safety standards.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a culture of safety.
• Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
• Providing safety-related guidance and support to project teams and site personnel.
• Maintaining comprehensive records and reporting on safety performance metrics.
• Promoting and delivering safety awareness campaigns to engage and educate employees.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to the construction sector.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive safety improvements.
• Proficient in the use of safety-related software and data analysis tools.
• Certified in relevant safety qualifications, such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
