Safety Officer

About the role

This full-time Safety Officer role at Lian Foo Poultry Farm Sdn Bhd, located in Masjid Tanah Melaka, is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all employees on the farm. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital part in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular health and safety inspections across the farm to identify and address any potential risks or hazards
• Developing and implementing robust safety policies and procedures to promote a culture of safety
• Providing safety training and support to all employees to ensure they are aware of and adhere to safety protocols
• Investigating any accidents or incidents that occur and taking appropriate corrective actions
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
• Collaborating with the management team to continuously improve safety standards and practices

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the agriculture or farming industry
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards and best practices applicable to the farming sector
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels
• Ability to think critically, identify potential risks, and implement practical solutions
• Proficient in data analysis and report writing to document safety performance and compliance
• Proactive, detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a safe working environment
