Safety Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Officer to join our team in Seelong (Senai area) Johor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our employees and worksites. Your expertise and vigilance will be crucial in upholding our commitment to providing a safe and compliant working environment.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting daily site inspections and audits to identify and address potential health and safety risks
2. Implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
3. Investigating and reporting on any incidents or accidents, and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
4. Collaborating with project managers and team members to develop and execute safety plans for factory
5. Maintaining detailed records and documentation to support the company's health and safety management system
6. Promoting a strong safety culture by engaging and educating employees on best practices

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in the construction industry
2. Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices in the construction sector
3. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and mitigate risks
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the implementation of safety protocols
6. Formal training or certification in occupational health and safety, such as NEBOSH or IOSH
7. Must be a green book holder
