Safety Officer

A Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring that workplace environments are safe and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Job Description

1. Ensure compliance with OSHA, CEPSWAM, and other safety regulations.
2. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
3. Implement safety training programs and raise awareness among employees.
4. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills.
5. Oversee hazardous materials management and ensure safe storage/disposal.
6. Inspect machinery and equipment for safety and collaborate with maintenance.
7. Act as a key member of the Safety Committee and assist in meeting organization goals.

Requirements

1. Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.
2. At least 2-3 years of experience in safety and health management.
3. 3 years of experience in manufacturing environments.
4. Experience in handling scheduled waste management.
5. Certification as an OSH Coordinator.
6. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
