SAFETY OFFICER

Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated.
2. Assist in conducting regular risk assessments across all areas of the operation to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities.
3. Follow the safety and security protocols to prevent accidents, incidents, and security breaches.
4. Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOSH, and NEBOSH.
5. Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and sustainable practices.
6. Assist in monitoring emergency response plans, including fire safety, evacuation procedures, and crisis management.
7. Oversee the subordinates and employees in the HSE team.
8. Act as secretary to the safety and health committee.
9. Monitor safety in organizing and implementing safety and health programs at the workplace.
10. Maintain accurate records of all HSE-related activities.
11. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
12. Participate in regular audits and inspections of facilities and operations to identify areas of improvement.

Requirements:

1. Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. At least 3 years of working experience in a relevant role or industrial manufacturing.
3. Certificate in occupational health and safety (Valid Green Book Holder) is preferred.
4. Well-versed in OSHA act & regulations.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
6. Experience in writing and able to prepare reports and provide statistical information to upper management.
