Safety & Health Officer (SHO) - Construction

a. Liaise with authorities and manage all safety related authority submissions.

b. Plan, educate and train site personnel on site health and safety protocols (Emergency assembly area, emergency).

c. Identify potential risk and formulate mitigation plans.

d. Develop safer and healthier ways of working.

e. Prepare and compile safety reports.

f. Report to site manager on safety related issues.

g. Chair all safety activities (New workers induction, tool box meeting, etc.).

h. Promote site health and safety initiatives.

i. Work with Project Team on site security, health, safety and cleanliness issues.

j. Ensure usage of required personal protective equipment (PPE) of all site personnel, visitors, etc. at all times.

k. Ensure proper safety/warning signage, barricades are erected.

l. Ensure proper site access/egress is available.

m. Check and ensure proper storage of hazardous/dangerous chemicals.

n. Perform site safety inspection and supervise site personnel on good safety practices.

o. Record & maintain workers work legality on work permit and CIDB green card.

p. Perform and ensure effective site daily housekeeping.

q. Any other related jobs as assigned.

Job Specification (Exceptions may apply):

a. Green Book holder.

b. Preferably with Scaffolding minimum Level 1 competency / Lifting Certificate.

c. Min. 5 years working experience in safety.

d. Strong interpersonal skills.
