Safety & Health Officer (SHO)
Job description
Job Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations at project sites
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend safety improvements
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements
- Organize safety training and toolbox meetings for site workers
- Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare detailed reports
- Liaise with government authorities (DOSH, CIDB, etc.) on safety compliance
- Maintain and update safety documentation and records
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related field
- Valid Green Book certification registered with DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety & Health)
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in construction safety
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and other relevant regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and ensure site safety compliance
