Safety & Health Officer (Kangar, Perlis)

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

1. HSSE Advisory Services
2. To advise and monitor on compliance to HSSE legal requirements to activities being carried out within hospital sites.
3. To advise FM and Operation on the HSSE related matters.
4. To advise on HSSE improvements plan for operation from the results obtained during Workplace Inspection or Compliance assessment.
5. To identify the HSSE hazards, conduct risk assessment and propose risk control measures according to hierarchy of control.
6. To assist and support HSSE Leadership Visit for Top Management and Regional Leaders at sites.
7. To be accountable for HSSE matters at based site and coverage site.
8. Safety Operation Services
9. To plan and conduct HSSE compliance assessment and HSSE Inspection.
10. To conduct HSSE committee meeting and become Secretary and coordinate EPMC Meeting.
11. To conduct activities based on HSSE Integrated Activity Plan and injury reduction plan.
12. To participate in HSSE online reporting and to guide staff in online system.
13. To participate in HSSE Competency Gap Analysis.
14. HSSE Compliance
15. To monitor compliance to HSSE legal requirements for all tasks carried out within Healthcare Services site.
16. To implement and maintain certification of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001.
17. To assess HSSE compliance through HSSE workplace inspection and walkabout.
18. To enforce and ensure compliance with all rules and regulations as stated by the company to all staff and contractors at sites.
19. HSSE Incident Management
20. To initiate investigation and provide reports for all incidents occurred and propose practical recommendations.
21. To analyze Incident Statistics and trends within operation sites.
22. To be accountable for reporting of incidents at coverage sites.
23. To verify the validity of incidents at coverage sites.
24. HSSE Performance
25. To monitor HSSE Performance and ensure timely reporting and updates.
26. To update HSSE performance on a monthly basis and ensure timely reporting.
27. To monitor and follow up on audit findings.
28. Stakeholder Management
29. To participate in meetings and/or forums with Group, HQ & Regional.
30. To participate in any external programs conducted by MOH relevant to HSSE such as MQSH Audit and Flying Squad Audit by Bahagian Perkhidmatan Kejuruteraan (BPK) / Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri (JKN).
31. To conduct training as requested by MOH related to OSH.
32. To serve as a term of reference in HSSE for users at own and executive sites.
33. To participate in any external programs conducted by Authorities relevant to HSSE such as DOSH, DOE, and BOMBA.
34. To respond and follow up on notices received from DOSH or DOE.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Occupational Safety & Health Management.
2. At least 5 to 10 years of experience in environmental management.
3. Hands-on experience in Safety & Health Management.
