Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace inspection and to identify/assess hazards, risks and control measures for a specific operation or process.
• Assess and document hazards, risks and controls in a manner consistent with established procedures and practices.
• Initiate and organize OHS training of employees.
• Investigate workplace accidents and injuries.
• Support the development of OHS policies and programs.
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventive measures.
• Prepare accident/incident investigation reports and provide statistical information.
• Maintain and ensure all records are completed and filed for all inspections, audits or exercises.
• Be the secretary to the Safety and Health Committee and perform all functions of a secretary as specified in the regulations.
• Undertake all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the superior when required.
• Monitor, manage, and oversee various safety-related responsibilities not limited to noise level tracking, audiometric yearly tests and handling related issues, CHRA, HIRARC, use of machinery, PPE-related matters, and other regulated compliance.
• Maintain liaison with relevant authorities and interested parties related to OHS.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or other relevant fields.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Safety & Health, preferably from a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
• Excellent command of the English language and good writing skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Proven track record of Safety & Health implementation and achievements at the worksite.
