Safety & Health Officer

Responsibilities

1. Provide advice and work closely with Line Management i.e. OIM, DSV and CSR, including Contractors on Health Safety Environment matters.
2. To ensure the daily activities are fully comply with HSE regulatory and company requirements covering HSEMS, MCF and TIPS.
3. Lead in regular HSE inspection/assurance.
4. Conduct/participate in site incident investigation.
5. Participate in HSE Risk Assessment and ensure accurate assessment of risks posed being addressed, adequate control and recovery barriers are identified.
6. Plan, coordinate and analyze effectiveness of emergency preparedness and drill exercise (Tier 1) and drive the implementation of effective emergency response programs at work location.
7. Lead the HSE project documentation.
8. Formulate areas to be improved through analyzing Contractor HSE performance data.
9. Monitor implementation of the intervention plans for gap closure; and continuous improvement towards sustenance of Contractor HSE excellence.
10. Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the government authorities, stakeholders and service providers.
11. Enforce the implementation of applicable PETRONAS procedures, guidelines, compliance to statutory and legislative requirements.
12. Communicate, interpret and execute the objectives and provisions of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and Codes of Conduct & Business Ethics (COBE).

Minimum Requirements

1. Minimum Diploma in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Engineering or Science.
2. Attended Safety and Health Officer Course.
3. Minimum 2 to 8 years HSE working experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
