Safety Engineer (SHO)

Responsibilities

1. To adhere and enforce safety rules and procedures by adopting established safety code and practices and regulatory requirement to all employees working in a safe and sound environment.
2. Conduct safety promotion and awareness with day-to-day monitoring and enforcement for safety procedures, rules, and regulations to meet good safety standards.
3. Day-to-day permitting approval for hot work, confined space entry, excavation works, and any related safety permitting.
4. Inspection of scaffolding, safety audits, and other safety-related activities.
5. Conduct SOC for contractors, project punch listing, and follow up with completion items of outstanding items.

Qualifications

1. Degree in Chemical Engineering or Engineering from a reputable university.
2. 3-8 years of experience in petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industry.
3. Great personality and a willing to learn attitude.
4. Registered SHO or attended exam for SHO.
5. Competent in Safety & Health technical knowledge.
6. Well versed with OSHA legal requirements and other industry code of practices.
