Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and practices for the quarry and premix plant.
Ensure all safety programs comply with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
Ensure the quarry and premix plant comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and environmental standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of plant operations, equipment, and machinery.
Ensure that all safety equipment (PPE, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, etc.) is properly maintained and available on-site.
Identify potential hazards in the workplace, including machinery, raw materials, environmental factors, and employee practices.
Conduct risk assessments and develop action plans to mitigate any identified hazards.
Organize and conduct safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Promote awareness of workplace safety procedures and ensure all staff are knowledgeable about emergency response protocols.
Ensure that all new employees receive proper safety orientation before starting work.
Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, report findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Submit reports to management on safety performance, trends, and areas needing improvement.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans for accidents, fires, equipment failures, and other emergencies.
Lead emergency drills and evaluate response effectiveness.
Implement and monitor workplace safety programs to improve safety culture.
Actively participate in the development and enforcement of safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of all safety activities, including training sessions, inspections, and audits.
Assist with the preparation and submission of reports to regulatory agencies.
Work closely with the operations team to ensure safety measures are effectively integrated into daily workflows.
Act as a liaison between plant workers and management regarding safety concerns and recommendations.
Must possess at least Diploma/Certificate in OSH, Manufacturing, Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of safety management experience in quarrying, mining or construction field.
Strong background in safety regulations (OSHA, FMA).
In-depth knowledge of safety management systems, risk assessment and safety protocol.
