Safety and Healthy Officer Supervisor

As a Safety and Healthy Officer / Supervisor at MCC20 DEVELOPMENT & CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN BHD, you will be responsible for overseeing the health and safety of our construction site in Kayu Ara Pasong, Johor. This full-time role is a crucial part of our team, ensuring we maintain the highest safety standards and protect the wellbeing of our workforce.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop, implement and monitor comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures for the construction site
2. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
3. Provide training and guidance to site personnel on health and safety best practices
4. Investigate and document any incidents or accidents, and implement corrective actions
5. Liaise with government authorities and industry bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
6. Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to health and safety on the construction site
7. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to continuously improve safety performance

What we're looking for

1. Relevant qualification in occupational health and safety, or a similar field
2. You have to be either a Greenbook / Yellowbook holder.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety and health officer in the construction industry
4. Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction sector
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with workers, managers and authorities
6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address safety challenges on-site
7. Proficient in using safety management software and other relevant technologies
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve safety objectives
9. Own transportation
